The Palette Tin

Build a color palette, check it actually holds up, then send it straight into Procreate as a real .swatches file. No copying hex codes by hand.

I made this because I wanted it myself — fewer fiddly steps, more drawing time. Anything that makes art more fun is a bonus.

This name is what you'll see inside Procreate.

Tap any block above, then drag the slider to change how much of that color the design uses.

If the shapes disappear, your colors are all the same lightness.

Nothing uploads anywhere — it all happens on your device. Your new palette appears at the top of the page.

Getting it in

Open Procreate first, with a canvas open. Importing works far more reliably this way — from a cold start the palette often doesn't appear.
Switch to Files and tap your downloaded .swatches file once. Procreate takes over and imports it.
If tapping does nothing, use Share → Procreate from the Files app instead.

Finding it once it's there

New palettes land at the bottom of the stack, which is a long scroll. Tap the word Palettes at the bottom of the panel to jump straight down to it.
To get back to the top, double-tap Compact.
Tap the ⋯ on your palette and choose Set as active so it's the one loaded in your color panel.
Give it a name you'll recognize at a glance — you'll be picking it out of a very long list.

Procreate holds 30 colors per palette, so that's the limit here too.
